The iconic orange that Horizon Services has become known for throughout our community will become Flyers’ orange for an afternoon as the Horizon Helps team will be sponsoring this year’s Flyers Alumni Hockey Game to benefit Junior Achievement of Delaware. The game will take place on March 3rd, 2013 on the ice at the Fred Rust Arena on University of Delaware’s campus in Newark, Delaware.
The puck is scheduled to drop at 3:30 PM and the game promises to draw over 1,000 Flyers fans and Junior Achievement friends to watch Flyers legends like Joe Watson, Brian Propp and Bob Kelly. The event will spread awareness and support the Junior Achievement mission to prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Junior Achievement is currently the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating young people about business, economics, and free enterprise reaching over 4 million students per year, in 124 markets in urban, rural, and suburban areas throughout all 50 states.
Attendees of the Hockey Challenge will also have access to a silent auction featuring memorabilia by notorious Philadelphia athletes, tickets to local sporting events, restaurant gift certificates, and much more. Family friendly activities are planned and there will be chances to win great prizes. Horizon Services will be donating 50 tickets to local kids in the community so they can attend the alumni game and the Horizon Helps team will be on site.
